Comparatively speaking, this weekend’s road closures in the city won’t be as bad as they have been in recent weeks.
But, detours will continue to give drivers fits as they attempt to get in to or out of downtown.
The new Ville Marie, the Decarie Expressway and the 20 all feature prominently in the mess.
Of note, if you are heading South on the Decarie Expressway you will be left with only one option when you hit the bottom; at that point you will be forced onto the Eastbound Ville Marie bringing you downtown.
But wait, there’s more:
Our area won’t be spared weekend roadwork either.
Cite-des-Jeunes in Vaudreuil-Dorion will be closed for work on a level crossing near Paul-Émile-Borduas Avenue from 6:30 tomorrow morning until 4 Sunday afternoon.
The work will also affect commuter train service to and from the Vaudreuil train station.
A shuttle bus service will be set up to ferry commuters between the Vaudreuil and Dorion train stations.
Complete details of the service interruption are available on the RTM website.
