We’ve been warning you for weeks now and the day is here.
Starting at midnight tonight and running through until 5 Tuesday morning, the ramp that connects the Ville Marie to the Westbound 20 will be completely closed to traffic.
More closures throughout the Turcot interchange will kick in tomorrow, including lane closures on the approach to the Champlain bridge and across the Mercier Bridge.
The unprecedented closures are needed to allow the dismantling of a portion of a Highway 15 ramp that stands more than 75 feet above the interchange.
There are some contingency plans in place, most notably; fares are being waived for tomorrow and Monday on the Vaudreuil/Hudson and Candiac commuter train lines with extra departures being added on the Vaudreuil/ Hudson line.
Extra parking spaces for commuters are being added in Dorval as well.
