Quebec Paying Tickets Online

This happens to most of us.

Getting a ticket is no fun, but Quebec makes paying it even harder. So you get a ticket, which is no fun. Then go to the nearest court house to pay it, no, have to go far to do it, so instead I see that you can pay these fines online. Great, so I pay it online, receive a receipt that it is paid. Decide I should go to the SAAQ to show the receipt as proof of payment.

Nope, was told that when paying online, it takes a few days for the SAAQ to receive the updated information that my ticket was paid. Had I paid in person, they would have given me a notice of payment, which the SAAQ accepts. Why is Quebec so backwards with technology?

If they can send the receipt to my email, can’t they send the notice of payment to my email too?
