Kale Salad Recall

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced the recall of a prepackaged kale salad in six provinces including here in Quebec.

Eat Smart Brand Sweet Kale Vegetable Salad Bag Kits sold in 794 Gram (28oz) bags with a best before date of July 17th are being pulled from shelves due to possible contamination with Listeria.

The recall also applies to P.E.I, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and, Ontario.

No illnesses have been reported.

If you have the product in your home you should throw it out or return it to the store where it was purchased.

The recall was triggered by CFIA test results.

The agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
