Flood Preparations In Rigaud

With rain in the forecast today, the town of Rigaud is stepping up measures to deal with flooding in the area.

Several roads have already been closed and three centres are available for residents to pick up sand bags.

Authorities are reminding people living close to rivers and streams to exercise caution and take preventative measures.

If you need sand bags, pick them up at one of these locations:

Rigaud fire station, 391 J.-René- Gauthier Road (formerly the Town Hall Road):
Next to the Rigaud wastewater treatment plant, located near 76 chemin du Bas de la rivière:

On the road from Pointe-Séguin to Rigaud:

And,  Pointe-Fortune Town Hall, located at 694 rue Tisseur, Pointe-Fortune.

For more information, during City Hall opening hours, call Mr. Eric Martel, Civil Protection Coordinator, at 450 451-0869, ext. 233.

Outside business hours, call 3-1-1 to report an emergency situation.
