Both Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam and Quebec’s Fred La Marmotte have predicted an early spring this year.
The buck toothed weather seers waddled from their burrows and remained outside not seeing their shadows.
But raining on the woodchuck parade today is Punxsutawney Phil from Gobbler’s Knob, Pennsylvania and Ontario’s Wiarton Willie .
The skittish Phil and Willie emerged from their slumber, saw their shadows and returned underground indicating 6 more weeks of winter.
Personally, I like the East Coast and Quebec Groundhogs.
