Rigaud has declared a state of emergency due to flooding.

Residents in flooded areas have been asked to leave their homes and to advise the city where they plan to stay. Those with pets will have to find alternative accommodations as they will not be permitted in the town.

Any resident who is unable to leave by their own means will be provided transportation via bus.

A temporary shelter has been setup for anyone who can’t find a place to sleep tonight.
