The first trailer for Ron Howard‘s documentary around some of The Beatles‘ early years has been released.
The movie, which is titled Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years and is due out later this year, chronicles the group’s career between 1962 and 1966, taking in scenes from Liverpool’s Cavern Club to San Francisco’s Candlestick Park.
The documentary has been made with the full co-operation of the surviving members of the band, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, as well as John Lennon and George Harrison‘s widows, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison.
It features rare and exclusive footage, and aims to examine the Beatlemania phenomenon as well as social and political goings-on at the time.
The UK release date for the film has been confirmed as September 15.
